The Origin Of Zen Available For Free Online

[ENGLISH] Devil’s Due tells us: Chicago, IL. (September 11, 2008) – In honor of Zen Intergalactic Ninja’s return to comics, Devil’s Due is proud to present, for the first time since its original printing, the origin of Zen for free online. The story, written by Zen-co creator Steve Stern and illustrated by Tatsuya Ishida, originally appeared in 1993’s Zen #0 (published by Entity Comics) and is now available at DevilsDue.net. 21 years after his first appearance, DDP is bringing Zen Intergalactic Ninja back to comics with this October’s Zen Intergalactic Ninja #0 99¢ Special. Featuring an all-new storyline by writer Joe Casey (Iron Man: Enter the Mandarin, Gødland) with artist Lee Ferguson (Green Arrow/Black Canary, Halloween: 30 Years of Terror), the series will revive Zen for a new generation of readers. DDP’s Zen Intergalactic Ninja will also feature a line of remastered covers by such industry legends as Mike Mignola, Sam Kieth and Jae Lee!

Even as the iconic blue hero enters into a new galaxy of adventure, DDP will also reassemble many of Zen’s classic appearances beginning in November’s The Best of Zen Intergalactic Ninja vol. 1. Many of these vintage Zen tales have not been seen since their original publication more than a decade ago, and Zen has gone on to be published in more than 3-million comics worldwide.
