[ENGLISH] Image Comics says: Erik Larsen’s seminal creation returns to the Chicago police force after a twelve year absence and President-elect Obama is there to bring him on board! Earlier this morning The Chicago Tribune’s RedEye announced Erik Larsen’s famed Image Comics superhero, SAVAGE DRAGON, would be returning to the Chicago Police Force after a twelve year absence with Barack Obama there to greet him in his first comic book appearance as the President-elect!

« Writing and drawing Savage Dragon as a cop after nearly twelve years feels good–it feels right, » Larsen told the Tribune. « It’s a homecoming of sorts and it’s a joy to be back. »

SAVAGE DRAGON’s announcement in the Tribune’s RedEye included an exclusive comic strip featuring Chicago’s other beloved adopted son, President-elect Barack Obama, congratulating Dragon on his new position. The appearance will be printed in March’s SAVAGE DRAGON #145, also the issue in which Savage Dragon returns to the police force.

SAVAGE DRAGON #145, a 32-page full color comic book for $3.50, will be available in stores March 25th, 2009. The full article is available at http://redeye.chicagotribune.com/red-111108-serranocolumn,0,6738591.column.
