Savage Dragon Engulfs Comic Book Store In Flames

[ENGLISH] (Chicago IL, April 29, 2009)  Challengers Comics tells us: Challengers Comics has a day of festivities plan to celebrate Free Comic Book Day this Saturday May 2nd 2009.  Free Comics, Celebrity signings and Rock Music are all on the schedule. Erik Larsen, creator of “Savage Dragon” will be signing books from 12:00 noon to 3pm.  The alternative band, Heroes for Hire, will be playing at 11:30am and 3:30pm. Free Comic books from a range of the hottest publishers including  the big four publishers ( Image Comics, Marvel, D.C. Comics and Dark Horse Comics) will be handed out while supplies last from 11am to 5pm.  From kids to seniors this will be a can’t miss, come have some fun kind of day!

Free Comic Book Day is an annual worldwide event that began in 2002. The purpose is to promote a purely original American art form that began in the early days of the twentieth century. Comic fans can find out more about Free Comic Book Day and enjoy an interview with mega superstar Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) at www.freecomicbookday.com.  “Any store can hand out free books,” explained Patrick Brower co-owner of Challengers Comics.   “We are the only ones who will blow you away with the iconoclastic awesomeness of Erik Larsen and melt your faces with rock and roll.”
