Thought Bubble 2009!

[ENGLISH] Thought Bubble says: The countdown to the Thought Bubble Festival 2009 has begun… Thought Bubble is a three day annual event which celebrates sequential art in all its forms, including everything from superheroes to independent small press.  The festival will take place 20th – 22nd November 2009 at various venues across Leeds with a centre-piece one day convention on Saturday 21st at Savile’s Hall (opposite the Royal Armouries).

Thought Bubble will include art and writing based workshops for young people and adults, panels and talks lead by industry professionals and a programme of sequential art related film screenings. The special one day convention includes an incredible line-up of leading artists and writers, and over 150 tables selling comics and merchandise. The day will also feature portfolio viewings and competitions.

The line-up for the one day convention will be announced soon and posted on this blog in full once it has been finalised as well as on the official Thought Bubble website.

Tickets for the one day convention cost £8 for adults, £4 for Breeze card holders, £4 for Cosplayers, and under-12s get in for free. Details as to purchasing tickets can be found here.

Tables for exhibitors cost £40 for small press and creators/professionals, £60 for dealers/retailers/publishers, backing boards cost £30, and an additional pass costs £6. Terms and conditions, as well as the booking form, can be found here.

We hope to make this years Thought Bubble bigger and better than ever, and would welcome any suggestions as to who you would like to see appearing as a guest at the convention and also hear any ideas for workshops/events for the festival proper.
