Writer Dan Rafter said, \u00ab\u00a0the story is about Karen Chugg\u2019s, an unpopular kid at school who suddenly finds three cool robots on her doorstep. Lauren goes from being practically invisible to being part of the ‘in’ crowd. This book is fun because it has everything: lots of action, lots of comedy and even a little bit of drama. I think we can identify with Lauren, who struggles with the fact that her newfound popularity isn’t due to anything that she’s done. Of course, there’s also chemically enhanced monsters, a corrupt president of the United States and a half-mad assassin robot programmed to destroy Lauren’s new metal buddies.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n

Can an ordinary, if slightly unpopular, teen survive killer robots, super-powered school custodians, snotty classmates, chemically boosted monsters and hooded assassins while staying on track to become class valedictorian? Karen Chugg\u2019s about to find out.<\/p>\n
