Le premier amour de Bruce a disparu et Batman se lance \u00e0 sa recherche, remuant les bas-fonds de Gotham en commen\u00e7ant par&#8230; Killer Croc, dans une ambiance de pluie nocturne. M\u00eame si David Finch et Jim Lee ont des particularit\u00e9s graphiques qui font qu&rsquo;on ne peut pas confondre leurs productions, au bout de quelques pages le doute n&rsquo;est pas permis. Finch canalise ici un certain nombre d&rsquo;ambiances emprunt\u00e9es \u00e0 Hush (et le fait que l&rsquo;encreur de Batman: The Dark Knight, Scott Williams, n&rsquo;est autre que celui de Lee sur Hush renforce l&rsquo;impression).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Comme dans Hush, voici donc une relation d&rsquo;enfance de Bruce (si ce n&rsquo;est que cette fois c&rsquo;est fille), un combat d&rsquo;ouverture li\u00e9 \u00e0 Killer Croc et assez rapidement il apparait qu&rsquo;il y a un pi\u00e8ge, une machination, avec quelqu&rsquo;un qui connait assez bien les secrets de Batman pour pirater la Batmobile. Apr\u00e8s, il ne faudrait pas non plus s&rsquo;arr\u00eater \u00e0 un constat genre \u00ab\u00a0c&rsquo;est le Hush de Finch\u00a0\u00bb car visiblement il y a d&rsquo;autres influences, notamment le Batman et le Pingouin de Burton. Mais globalement je pense que cette s\u00e9rie (ou en tout cas cet arc) s&rsquo;adresse au public qui aimait bien le passage de Loeb et de Lee sur Batman, tout en proposant sans doute une alternative aux lecteurs qui se perdraient dans les r\u00e9f\u00e9rences parfois obscures de Morrison. On ne pourra donc tr\u00e8s certainement pas reprocher \u00e0 Batman: The Dark Knight de ne pas \u00e9tablir rapidement le ton de la s\u00e9rie. Qui plus est Finch est bien sur en forme au dessin. Tout au plus ce que je reprocherais \u00e0 ce premier \u00e9pisode tient surtout au cliffhanger, pas assez dramatique \u00e0 mon go\u00fbt (Batman a du se tirer 15000 fois de ce genre de situation).
