Bien entendu le BPRD exp\u00e9die Hellboy en France pour sauver la jeune fille des griffes de la secte. Mais le d\u00e9mon \u00e0 qui elle \u00e9tait promise ne manque pas de se manifester et Hellboy ne doit son salut qu&rsquo;aux ruines d&rsquo;un \u00e9trange monast\u00e8re, dont la l\u00e9gende remonte \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9poque des croisades. Mike Mignola arrive \u00e0 mixer avec doigt\u00e9 des mythes d&rsquo;origines diverses, qu&rsquo;ils tiennent de la chevalerie m\u00e9di\u00e9vale, des exploits des saints de la chr\u00e9tient\u00e9 ou encore de l&rsquo;histoire du roi Salomon. Mignola arrive \u00e0 peupler de fa\u00e7on riche ce que d&rsquo;autres, sans cette texture, auraient racont\u00e9 sans humour et sans panache.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Du panache, Richard Corben en a \u00e9galement et l\u00e0 non plus ce n&rsquo;est pas nouveau, loin s&rsquo;en faut. L\u00e0 o\u00f9 Mignola construit ses personnages autour de leurs zones d&rsquo;ombres, Corben sculpte plus les volumes, donne la sensation de relief \u00e0 travers le travail des muscles mais dans le m\u00eame temps le r\u00e9sultat n&rsquo;est en rien une trahison de ce qu&rsquo;on aime dans le Hellboy de Mignola. Disons que les deux auteurs donnent tous deux ce qu&rsquo;ils ont de mieux et que les diff\u00e9rences qu&rsquo;on pourrait leur trouver se retrouvent \u00e9tonnamment compatibles. L&rsquo;histoire se lit facilement et m\u00eame dans le cas o\u00f9 vous auriez perdu le contact avec Hellboy depuis des ann\u00e9es, le r\u00e9cit est assez reader-friendly pour fonctionner de mani\u00e8re totalement autonome.
