Malheureusement, ce num\u00e9ro n’en fait pas partie. En effet, pour l’appr\u00e9cier, il faut d\u00e9j\u00e0 bien se rappeler du crossover de Brubaker (qui date de plusieurs mois maintenant) et l’avoir aim\u00e9 !!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sortie aux USA : le 5 d\u00e9cembre 2007<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pour tous ceux qui n’auraient pas suivi la saga d’Ed Brubaker et Billy Tan, voici les grandes lignes. Vulcain, le troisi\u00e8me fr\u00e8re Summers, cherche \u00e0 se venger des Shi’ar, responsables de la mort de sa m\u00e8re. Pour l’arr\u00eater, Charles Xavier r\u00e9unit une \u00e9quipe d’X-Men qui s’envole dans l’espace. Entre temps, Vulcain tombe amoureux de Deathbird (la soeur de l’imp\u00e9ratrice Shi’ar Lilandra). Pour sceller son appartenance au Shi’ars, Vulcain doit sacrifier Xavier (fait prisonnier entre temps) dans le cristal M’Kraan. Evidemment, il \u00e9choue et les X-Men sauve leur mentor. Mais Vuclain n’est pas totalement perdant. Suite \u00e0 la mort du chef des Shi’ar, D’Ken, il devient le nouvel Empereur Shi’ar. Dans ce num\u00e9ro sp\u00e9cial, Vulcain est pr\u00e9cipit\u00e9 dans le cristal M’Kraan et rencontre la force Ph\u00e9nix.
\nN’apportant pas un v\u00e9ritable angle nouveau \u00e0 la saga, comme l’avaient fait de pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents What if ?. C’est bien dommage !! On a plut\u00f4t l’impression de voir un nouvel \u00e9pisode de la saga sur le Ph\u00e9nix de Greg Pak. Car apr\u00e8s tout, pourquoi Vulcain serait diff\u00e9rent des autres \u00eatres poss\u00e9d\u00e9s par le Ph\u00e9nix, il veut tout d\u00e9truire !! Les X-Men doivent donc lutter, voire m\u00eame se sacrifier pour certains. Ce one-shot souffre en plus d’un graphisme de seconde zone, n’aidant pas \u00e0 aimer l’histoire. Il aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 plus judicieux pour Christopher Yost (que l’on a connu plus inspir\u00e9) de faire monter un autre mutant sur le tr\u00f4ne de l’Empire Shi’ar.
