\"Avant-Premi\u00e8re[FRENCH] La transposition en BD du roman \u00ab\u00a0le Fl\u00e9au\u00a0\u00bb de Stephen King attaque son deuxi\u00e8me volume \u00e0 travers cette nouvelle minis\u00e9rie. Servi par les dessins de Mike Perkins, le comic-book inspir\u00e9 par The Stand continue d’\u00eatre bien plus captivant que Dark Tower tout en n’ayant rien de \u00ab\u00a0fig\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb. Une fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 dynamique, donc, qui dresse un portrait saisissant des principaux personnages…<\/p>\n

\"TheDans \u00ab\u00a0Le Fl\u00e9au\u00a0\u00bb une grande partie de l’humanit\u00e9 disparait, emport\u00e9e en quelques jours par un virus artificiel ravageur. La premi\u00e8re minis\u00e9rie, \u00ab\u00a0Captain Tripps\u00a0\u00bb, avait laiss\u00e9 la part belle \u00e0 l’\u00e9tape de l’\u00e9pid\u00e9mie. \u00ab\u00a0The Stand: American Nightmares\u00a0\u00bb d\u00e9bute alors que le gros de la maladie est pass\u00e9. Il reste bien encore quelques \u00ab\u00a0infect\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb pour importuner certains des h\u00e9ros survivants mais globalement c’est l’impression de vide qui pr\u00e9vaut. C’est un moment assez distinct du roman d’origine qui m’avait frapp\u00e9 \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque o\u00f9 je l’avais lu mais aussi un des points d’orgue de l’adaptation t\u00e9l\u00e9vis\u00e9e in\u00e9gale qui en avait \u00e9t\u00e9 tir\u00e9 il y a d\u00e9j\u00e0 longtemps (avec Gary Sinise et Molly Ringwald). Un moment que j’ai retrouv\u00e9 parfaitement ex\u00e9cut\u00e9 dans le comic-book (ou en tout cas fid\u00e8le \u00e0 mes souvenirs).<\/p>\n

Ca ne veut pas dire que tout ressemble forc\u00e9ment \u00e0 ce que j’imaginais en lisant le roman mais fondamentalement les options prises par l’\u00e9quipe cr\u00e9ative ne sont pas hors-sujet. Je n’aurais pas vu tel perso si jeune ou si rondouillard mais objectivement ca ne contredit pas le contenu du roman et ca transmet tr\u00e8s ce sentiment de lassitude, de nostalgie, qui intervenait \u00e0 ce moment du livre, quand les survivants doivent en quelque sorte faire leur deuil de l’humanit\u00e9 telle qu’ils la connaissaient il y a quelques semaines encore… Je n’avais pas fait le rapprochement depuis mais The Stand, c’est un peu le Walking Dead de son \u00e9poque (ou inversement d’ailleurs). Le tout n’est pas guind\u00e9 et d’embl\u00e9e j’y ai retrouv\u00e9 l’ambiance de Stephen King (l\u00e0 o\u00f9 la chose me paraissait plus diffuse dans le Dark Tower dessin\u00e9 par Jae Lee).<\/p>\n

On ne peut d\u00e9cemment pas parler de l’histoire comme si c’\u00e9tait elle qui apportait la nouveaut\u00e9 dans cette adaptation fid\u00e8le. Ca ne veut absolument pas dire que Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa passe les plats. Il fait \u00e0 mon sens les bons choix par rapport \u00e0 l’\u0153uvre de Stephen King. Mais forc\u00e9ment dans cette mise en images il est \u00e9vident que l’enjeu repose pour une bonne partie sur les dessins. Mike Perkins s’en tire \u00e0 merveille d’autant qu’il ne faut pas oublier qu’un des personnages, Nick Andros, est sourd-muet. Dans un livre, il est facile de d\u00e9crire les pens\u00e9es et les actions d’un tel h\u00e9ros, en passant par la voix du narrateur. Dans une BD, on n’a pas le m\u00eame luxe. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa aurait pu passer en \u00ab\u00a0voix off\u00a0\u00bb tout au long des sc\u00e8nes concern\u00e9es mais il laisse au contraire ag\u00eer la narration de Perkins. M\u00eame quand on a lu le roman c’est donc une bonne mani\u00e8re de parcourir \u00e0 nouveau cette histoire… Si on ne l’a pas lu, c’est une bonne occasion de la d\u00e9couvrir (encore que bien s\u00fbr il faudra commencer par le premier TPB).<\/p>\n
