En tout cas pas plus qu&rsquo;Adventures of Captain America ou Captain America White: 0 pouvaient \u00eatre diff\u00e9rent de Captain America Comics #1&#8230; Mais en d\u00e9finitive, dans ce dernier \u00e9pisode, le propos de Milligan devient encore plus manifeste que dans les parties pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes et d\u00e9montre bien ce qu&rsquo;il a voulu faire. Le Sub-Mariner de \u00ab\u00a0The Depths\u00a0\u00bb n&rsquo;est pas un super-h\u00e9ros amphibie, c&rsquo;est une obsession. Une id\u00e9e. Un principe. Cette minis\u00e9rie tient aussi bien du Moby Dick de Melville que du Nosferatu de Murnau. Le h\u00e9ros qui ne croyait pas en l&rsquo;existence du prince d&rsquo;Atlantis en est venu \u00e0 \u00eatre convaincu du contraire&#8230; Et \u00e0 vouloir le prouver \u00e0 tout prix. Mais le Sub-Mariner est-il une r\u00e9alit\u00e9 ou une sorte de mirage enfant\u00e9 par la folie des grands fonds ? A partir du moment o\u00f9 ce r\u00e9cit est lib\u00e9r\u00e9 de ses attaches avec un comic de type New Avengers, tout devient possible. On assiste peut-\u00eatre au premier contact entre Namor et l&rsquo;humanit\u00e9&#8230; Ou bien on est dans le cadre de quelque chose qui \u00e9voquerait un d\u00e9lire \u00e0 la Fight Club. A un moment de l&rsquo;\u00e9pisode, tout est possible et Milligan r\u00e9ussit donc son pari.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Niveau dessin, Ribic n&rsquo;est pas en reste et correspond lui aussi \u00e0 l&rsquo;impressionisme omnipr\u00e9sent de cette histoire. Pratiquant selon les moments le flou ou le clair-obscur, le peintre sait \u00e9voquer ici un r\u00e9alisme qui ne perd rien en \u00e9motion. Et qui sait ne pas en montrer trop. Parfois cette mini aura connue quelques longueurs mais je suis certain qu&rsquo;en TPB \u00ab\u00a0The Depths\u00a0\u00bb gagnera \u00e0 \u00eatre (re)lu en une seule fois.
