\"\"<\/a>[FRENCH] Et c’est reparti pour une histoire de morts-vivants (\u00e7a faisait longtemps) et les exp\u00e9riences interdites d’un savant fou qui s’amuse \u00e0 faire de la couture sur des morts. Le r\u00e9cit commence par un snuff th\u00e9\u00e2tre, histoire de nous mettre dans un bon bain de sang. Le spectacle est plut\u00f4t tranchant et l’envers du d\u00e9cor bien plus sombre encore. Livingston et Tinnell nous plongent dans une r\u00e9\u00e9criture du mythe de Frankenstein o\u00f9 le fou<\/strong> se heurte au monstre et la mort repousse les fronti\u00e8res de la vie…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Quand le docteur Hans Schmidt assiste \u00e0 cette repr\u00e9sentation th\u00e9\u00e2trale sanglante, il prend conscience de son erreur d’avoir laiss\u00e9 sa cr\u00e9ation lui \u00e9chapper. Le justicier meurtrier, sur sc\u00e8ne, joue son r\u00f4le jusqu’au bout en n’\u00e9pargnant pas ses partenaires d’un soir. Le Dr Schmidt prend donc la r\u00e9solution d’\u00e9crire \u00e0 la seule personne susceptible de mettre un terme \u00e0 la situation. Sa premi\u00e8re cr\u00e9ature, monstre condamn\u00e9 \u00e0 l’errance. Commence alors un flash-back de l’exp\u00e9rience qui a mal tourn\u00e9…<\/p>\n

\nLe retour de Frankenstein… <\/strong><\/p>\n

Le Dr Schmidt pensait pouvoir faire p\u00e9nitence de ses erreurs et enterrer son pass\u00e9 en changeant d’identit\u00e9 et se consacrer \u00e0 sa femme et son fils. Mais se d\u00e9vouer corps et \u00e2me \u00e0 ses patients ne suffit pas. Derri\u00e8re l’apparence d’un m\u00e9decin de campagne sans histoire se cache une autre r\u00e9alit\u00e9. La v\u00e9rit\u00e9 finit par remonter \u00e0 la surface quand sa cousine Karla vient lui rendre visite pour lui demander de reprendre ses activit\u00e9s scientifiques. Son fil, Julian, est aux portes de la mort et avant qu’il ne franchisse la fronti\u00e8re, Karla le supplie de tenter de nouveau son processus de r\u00e9animation en s’appuyant sur le corps d’un cadavre pour faire revivre Julian. Le pouvoir de l’immortalit\u00e9 et la tentation de se rattraper et d’effacer sa premi\u00e8re exp\u00e9rience peu concluante, poussent le Dr Schmidt \u00e0 jouer au d\u00e9miurge. Tout semble bien se passer. Mais la suite r\u00e9v\u00e8le les failles de l’exp\u00e9rience. Le corps de Julian n’\u00e9tait pas sain. Rong\u00e9 par la syphilis, il \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 ravag\u00e9 par la folie de son vivant. Mort-vivant la folie deviendra meurtri\u00e8re. Une esp\u00e8ce de zombie psychopathe obs\u00e9d\u00e9 de luxure et de justice punitive.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Le renouveau du d\u00e9cadent…<\/strong><\/p>\n

Todd Livingston et Robert Tinnell, deux ma\u00eetres du thriller, nous emm\u00e8nent au coeur de l’Allemagne du 19eme si\u00e8cle et reprennent tous les th\u00e8mes de la litt\u00e9rature d\u00e9cadente. La folie, la mort, l’\u00e9rotisme m\u00e2tin\u00e9 d’agonie… Les dessins de Micah Farritor s’accordent sans fausse note sur cette violence en dressant le portrait de personnages cern\u00e9s et blafards, d\u00e9sarticul\u00e9s dans leurs mouvements comme des pantins men\u00e9s par le destin. Il n’y a pas les vivants d’un c\u00f4t\u00e9 et les morts de l’autre, les bons ou les m\u00e9chants.\u00a0 Chaque personnage ne fait que d\u00e9fendre ses convictions jusqu’\u00e0 l’irrationnel. La vision de l’humanit\u00e9 reste tr\u00e8s sombre. La seule lueur d’espoir vient paradoxalement du monstre fabriqu\u00e9 par le Dr Schmidt qui tente malgr\u00e9 son style patchwork (id\u00e9al pour Halloween) de se reconstruire. Un Frankenstein \u00e9mouvant qui nous fait pr\u00e9f\u00e9rer la brute au \u00ab bon \u00bb docteur (le truand finissant sa carri\u00e8re de com\u00e9dien pr\u00e9matur\u00e9ment).<\/p>\n[Ange Lise<\/em>]\n
