Mais un jour la vie d&rsquo;Ono va basculer et il va se retrouver au rang des victimes. Apr\u00e8s le meurtre de ses proches, un artisan japonais se lance \u00e0 la recherche de toutes les armes qu&rsquo;il a cr\u00e9\u00e9 dans sa vie et sa qu\u00eate l&rsquo;entraine \u00e0 travers le monde. Boom! nous a habitu\u00e9 \u00e0 des s\u00e9ries au parfum de pitch cin\u00e9matographique mais il est clair qu&rsquo;ici plus encore on imagine tout \u00e0 fait le blockbuster que cette histoire pourrait donner. A plus forte raison parce que &#8211; m\u00eame si je ne suis pas tr\u00e8s fan des visages du dessinateur &#8211; Ayhan Hayrula s&rsquo;y entend pour repr\u00e9senter une ambiance bien particuli\u00e8re. Avec lui, un certain climat s&rsquo;instaure&#8230; La facilit\u00e9 aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 de partir dans un style \u00ab\u00a0manga\u00efs\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb puisque le protagoniste principal est japonais mais Hayrula \u00e9vite ce pi\u00e8ge, tout comme les sc\u00e9naristes ne partent pas sur les chemins du Fantastique (non, les lames ne sont pas li\u00e9es \u00e0 un ancien d\u00e9mon. Non, aucun fant\u00f4me de victime ne vient hanter l&rsquo;armurier&#8230;).<\/p>\n<p>Si nous devions parler en seuls termes de comics, je vous dirais que Swordsmith: Assassin est un peu le Armor Wars d&rsquo;Iron Man appliqu\u00e9 au Japon ancien. Mais parler en \u00ab\u00a0seuls termes de comics\u00a0\u00bb ce serait consid\u00e9rablement limiter le champ de ce r\u00e9cit, bien plus subtil qu&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y parait. Toshiro Ono est le descendant d&rsquo;une famille de fabricants d&rsquo;\u00e9p\u00e9es o\u00f9 on a appris \u00e0 g\u00e9rer les choses avec honneur. Lui ne voit pas la situation du m\u00eame \u0153il, en disant \u00e0 son p\u00e8re que le monde change. Et Andrew Cosby &amp; Michael Alan Nelson prennent le soin de le montrer en Prusse, en 1870. Autrement dit le h\u00e9ros est un peu dans l&rsquo;antichambre des grands conflits du vingti\u00e8me si\u00e8cle et sa culpabilit\u00e9 sur les armes qu&rsquo;il a cr\u00e9\u00e9 tient un peu de la parabole. Toshiro Ono, c&rsquo;est un peu Nobel ou Oppenheimer. En tout cas il se retrouve avec un probl\u00e8me moral similaire.
